ABOUT JUDGE CASH
Cross Country Ranch
Judge Cash is a handsome gray who stands just over 15.1, and weighs around 1300#. His conformation is such that he could have been a Halter horse. With great bone, a very nice hip, excellent balance, correct legs, and a beautiful head and eye, he's hard to fault. He is extremely intelligent, and a dream to be around. Our farrier's 2 yr old son held him while he was being trimmed.
Judge Cash exudes class, and class is what sets the great horses apart from just a good horse.
It's so hard to sum up Judge Cash, as it would take a book to tell you everything about him.  It truly is an honor to have him at the Ranch.  Judge was well known in the Northwest however, now his offspring are competing across the Nation and into Canada.

Brenda Mays and Judge Buy Cash aka Jethro have made it to four NFR's and are on their way to an amazing 5th NFR sitting 4th in the World!  Jethro has earned close to $500,000 in lifetime earnings!  It's Judge's second horse to make the big dance, the first being Amy Dale in 2002.
There is also a grandson of Judge Cash "An Oakie With Cash" ridden by Lisa Lockhart that ran barrels at the 2010 NFR and are returning in 2011 ranked 6th in the world; look for Lisa on the buckskin.  Judge's success in producing rodeo horses is attributed to the fact that they are athletic, powerful, tough, willing, and they have speed much like he did. His young horses are  being sought out by many outstanding riders looking to achieve a higher level of success.
And there is a 3rd Judge Cash to be at 2011's NFR, Easy To Judge aka "Roxy" is returning to the NFR as a p/u horse, most likely she will be used in bareback. She is owned by Dan and Kasey Etbauer.

Barrel horses aren't the only specialty for Judge's babies as he was first an excellent race sire.  Judge has produced a world champion, seven superior runners, numerous graded stakes winners and earners that have tallied over a million dollars just on the track.  His runners are still going strong with an impressive 63% lifetime winners from starters, and his starters averaging over $8,000 each. Considering they have competed predominately in the Northwest, that is a pretty tidy sum.  Of his 108 ROM's, 70 have been two-years ROM's; and 55 of them have been 90 SI (or AAA) and better.

Being the athletes that they are,  Judge's offspring are not limited to these two disciplines. Because they're intelligent, and love to work, there are many out there that are good rope horses, pickup horses (including 2008 NFR Pickup Horse "Roxie") , ranch horses, english disciplines, and just the general all around good horse.

In the breeding shed, Judge is a super horse with outstanding semen. He has an excellent reputation for settling his mares whether you send them to the farm, or you live across the states and breed via Artificial Insemination. He is an excellent shipper with great motility.
